We have been staying at a lovely camp site in Bavaria.
Our pitch has stunning views of the lake and out to the Alps. Yesterday we woke up to find it had snowed heavily and the awning roof was sagging so much we could hardly open the caravan door!
The campsite showers are amazing because the have a whole separate children’s shower building, with little showers, seats and Mickey Mouse sinks, as well as a heated floor.
Yesterday, after clearing the snow, we visited Neuchwanstein Castle, we had to walk up a huge hill for 45 minutes because the bus was cancelled as it had snowed. It is the castle from Chitty Bang Bang, but there was no sign of the flying car or the Child Cather! The inside was beautiful, it had velvet floors and gold painted walls. King Ludvig had his own staircase and fake cave, with a waterfall, he was crazy! My favourite room was the bedroom because it had a secret door, but the throne room was incredible too. Mummy loved the cave, she thought it was hilarious.
On the way down from the castle we had an extra treat and rode down in the horse drawn carriage. Mummy and I got to sit up front with the driver, but the horse poo was too close for me and I made mum swap seats.
Very close to the back end of a horse...
The viewing platform was scary!
The lovely heated infinity swimming pool is fab because it has an amazing view, out of the windows, to the Alps. I have been in swimming every day and even made a German friend.
In the evening we have been watching The Sound Of Music, getting ready for Salzburg. Mummy is very excited about that trip. We are going there on Wednesday and staying in a hotel. I have loved the film because I love the songs, especially How Do You Solve a Problem and So Long, Farewell.
Now we have to leave Germany, boo hoo! No more Bratwurst (sausages) and Botchen (rolls).
Auf wiedersehn mein freunds.
